Social Responsibility - Overseas

The Christian Centre is committed not only to work in Nottingham, but also overseas. We partner with a number of organisations to make a practical difference in the lives of individuals and also to campaign for justice to make a wider impact.

"partnering to make a difference"

  • King's Village – through our partner charity 58i (see social responsibility, Nottingham), the Christian Centre supports the work of the King’s Village in Northern Ghana. The King’s Village provides education to 250 children, health care (a hospital has been established that serves a region of 160,000 people), nutritional support, water and sanitation work, agricultural training and outreach through the King's Village International Church.
  • Over the years members of the Christian Centre have continually been sent out from the Church to make an impact overseas and we continue to to support them through prayer, regular communication and some financially.
  • We are developing an exciting partnership with Tearfund that is aimed at ensuring that alongside our work of compassion, we develop a true thirst for justice. We’re joining with their campaigns team to mobilise members of the Christian Centre to speak out on behalf of the poor across the globe.
  • We also work closely with our friends at CSW (Christian Solidarity Worldwide), in which we help speak up for the persecuted church – people imprisoned and persecuted for their faith in Jesus. Both our work with Tearfund and CSW are apart of our ever growing Standing For Justice group. This is a group that fights to establish justice and bring an end to the oppression of unjust actions; locally, nationally and internationally.
