A big thank you to Marion Lloyd and Jonathan
Shearman too who helped make the weekend run smoothly.
Positive feedback from recipients is already
coming in and below are some of the stories of tears, surprise
and sheer joy:
• One house had been living off crackers
for a couple of days and then one knock on the door later
and a hamper full of goodies was there! What a blessing to
that household in a time of desperation.
• One girl said the hamper would feed her and her family
for weeks, it would be the only present they would get!
• One mother quoted “that is so wonderful, thank
you so much. I will be struggling to pay the rent this year
and don’t know yet how I will be able to buy a present
for my boys”.
• Another recipient quoted “no one has ever given
me anything before; it really feels good to be remembered”.
• One of the women’s hostels invited us to go
to their Christmas party when the hampers are handed out.
They were so overwhelmed and thankful.
• One gentleman came to Church on the Sunday morning
to express his thanks and was overwhelmed by the love shown.

OPERATION RUDOLPH
2009 FEEDBACK
Congratulations everyone, Operation Rudolph 2009 was a success!
We packaged and delivered 800 hampers having successfully
raised the money required to sponsor each one!
Over 200 volunteers came to help over the weekend and thank
you to everyone for your hard work! You were amazing!
A special thank you to Dave and Lyn Bignall
who helped with all the planning, Terry and Ann Carpenter
for helping arrange all the content, Bernice Cottingham for
all her hard work preparing the drivers packs and Clive and
Jan Roberts for their help in fundraising. Op Ru simply couldn’t
have happened without their tireless support.

These are just some of the stories of the impact
of Operation Rudolph and it is a privilege to be able to serve
our community in such a practical way, showing the love of
Christ and that someone cares.
