We have presently submitted our planning
application for the current design which has been developed
by Benoy (architects), Brealey Green (structual engineers)
and Edmund Shipway (Quantity Surveyors and Mechancial
and Electrical).
Planning consent was granted on 17 September
2008. The estimated cost of the building is in excess
of £20m with 5 layers of car parking. We are discussing
a partnership with a car park operator on the running
of the car park and, if successful, they would allow
us free of charge access as critical times for the Church,
otherwise operate it as a short-stay car park and make
a capital contribution to cost of this element of the
build.
We are delighted with the design - click
on any of the images to see a larger view.
As well as providing us with the essential
facilities for growth, the design incorporates a 65m
steel cross that will tower over the building and be
seen from around the city.
To see the projections of the spire, .
To see the floor plans, .
Some see this design as a modern day cathedral.
Whatever it gets called, our priority is providing space
for new people to be added to the Church and to experience
the power and wonder of knowing Jesus.
The next phase for us is external fundraising.
If you would like to make a financial
contribution, or to find out more in order to make a

Fundraising continues
ongoing and we will keep you posted as news unfolds.
