2. We continue to ask you to park at the Christian Centre if you
a. Have young children – and especially cannot use the drop-off system
b. Are elderly
c. Are infirm
d. Are a visitor
3. We recommend that blue badge holders if your mobility allows, park in the metered bays in Talbot Street.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. Where do I get my discounted Worshippers' tickets from?
The tickets are available from the Christian Centre. Please do not apply to the Council. The administration of the tickets has been agreed to be done by the churches.
Please NOTE, because of the limited amount of 3-hour stay parking bays near the Christian Centre (at present), we are not looking to move the congregation at large onto discounted tickets at this time. We are encouraging use of the unrestricted bays (green above) as the priority solution.
2. If I do end up using discounted Worshippers' tickets, will I be able to pay monthly?
Yes, we will make a standing order monthly payment scheme available to those who will be helped by it.
3. If I try to park in the unrestricted areas (green), but can't find a space, what do I do?
This will be part of us really understanding what our needs are as a community and how many spaces are available when we need them. So if this happens don't worry. Please progress to the Christian Centre and pull into the drop off zone and tell a car park steward what has happened and he/she will either find you a space if we have one at church, or he/she will give you a discounted ticket to be used in a metered bay, or at the Talbot Street NCP car park down the road.
4. I need to stay for longer than 3 hours, because I serve on a team. What should I do?
Firstly, please let us know. Email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Secondly, please try parking in the unrestricted areas (green) as you can stay as long as you like there.
If this isn't going to work for you for some reason, we will try to find an alternative solution for you.
5. What if I get a parking ticket?
If you get a parking ticket while parking in the vicinity of the Christian Centre to worship on 20 November or 27 November, please bring it to Tim Brindley at the Christian Centre. We will seek to deal with it on your behalf.
From 4 December 2011, it is your responsibility to ensure you have parked, and paid where necessary, within the restrictions that apply. If you are unsure, please seek advice from the Christian Centre before parking and we will help you to be clear what restrictions apply where. If you get a parking ticket after that date, sadly it will be your responsibility to pay the fine.
6. Can I cycle to church instead?
Yes! But please let us know. Our cycle parking is limited at present and if the demand is there, we will look to improve our bike-parking facilities.
